“No, no,” you say, “that isn’t right. The cows say ‘moo’ all day and night.”
OK, apologies to Sandra Boynton for paraphrasing her there. Her book Moo, Baa, La La La was a favorite of my boys when they were little, and I have to admit the words from it were stuck in my head as I was making this card.
This is a card I made a couple weekends ago for the most recent Virtual Stamp Night at Splitcoaststampers. The challenge here was to incorporate something to do with music on the card, to use the sketch provided, and to decorate the inside of the card. I’ve had this set of music themed stamps for several years and I decided it was time to finally use them. However, I wasn’t sure if the singing cows were musical enough on their own. I happened to have a copy of my older son’s sheet music for the B-flat clarinet part of our high school’s fight song, so I made some musical score “designer paper” from it and used that too.
Then I had a mental vision of cows singing the high school’s fight song…
Anyway, here’s the card – first the outside, then the inside.
