It’s Christmas in July with the Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge this week, and we are celebrating with the new release of FIVE new digital images as well as a digital sentiment set!  Ho, ho, ho!!!  🙂

We’d love to have you play along with us!  Just create a Christmas card using a digital image, and link it to the Digi Challenge blog.  Although we’d really love to see what you can create with Sweet ‘n Sassy digital images, you’re welcome to use digis from other companies.  Details about linking your card and the perks for which you’ll become eligible are all listed on the Digi Challenge blog.

The Digi Challenge design team has put together a blog hop for you to enjoy.  All our creations use at least one of the new digital images.  I’ve chosen the Poinsettia image and paired it with one of the sayings from Christmas Sentiments.  I printed the poinsettia image a total of four times – two times each in two different sizes.  (That’s one of the things I especially like about working with digis – being able to resize them to fit the space on the card.)  For each size, I colored the leaves on one image and the petals on the other, cut them out, and reassembled them to give the flowers some dimension.  I also added a few tiny half pearls for the flowers’ centers.  Since this card is going to be included in the box I’m preparing for Operation Write Home’s Early Bird card drive, I was careful not to make it too thick and lumpy.  (I’m a week late on the OWH Midweek Throwdown Christmas in July challenge, but oh well.)  The layout is Freshly Made Sketch #44.

Here’s the blog hop order.  Be sure to comment on all of the blogs.  One of the team members is a mystery blogger (even she doesn’t know who she is yet!), and one person who comments on her blog will be chosen to win the entire new digital release!  How totally awesome is that?!? The winner will be announced on the Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge blog next Friday, July 27.

One last thing. Have you checked out the new Sweet ‘N Sassy Stamps Digi Challenge Facebook page? We will give away three digital stamps (3 winners, each gets 1 free digi of their choice) when we get to 100 LIKES! Go see what it’s all about! 🙂

Supplies for today’s card:
Digital Images: Poinsettia, Christmas Sentiments (Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps)
Cardstock: Real Red, Wild Wasabi, Confetti Cream (Stampin’ Up)
Ink: printer ink
Other: markers (Copic); half pearls (KaiserCraft); dimensionals (SU)
