I’ve been wanting all week to get something made for this week’s OWH Stars & Stamps sketch.  I had the chance to create this afternoon, so I went ahead and checked out the Dynamic Duos challenge that started this morning.  So I’ve combined those two challenges for today’s card.  I have to confess that the bright colors were a little intimidating for me, so I’ve toned them down with a lot of light gray.  I also tied this card in with one of the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps January Virtual Stamping Day challenges.  That challenge was to create a clean and simple card depicting a creature and something that brings comfort.  This Cocoa Mouse image seemed to fit that challenge perfectly for an Operation Write Home card.  What better thing to bring comfort to a child whose parent is stationed overseas than a note full of hugs and kisses?

Supplies:
Stamps: Love From Cocoa (Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps)
Cardstock: Going Gray, Island Indigo, Melon Mambo, Whisper White (Stampin’ Up)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Other: Hearts Scallop die (SNSS); Premier colored pencils (Prismacolor); odorless mineral spirits (Houston Arts)
