Hello!  This week is sketch week at CAS – Colours and Sketches, and we have something different for you!  This time we’re challenging our participants to create a clean and simple card in any non-rectangular shape.

I decided to go with a hexagon, since that’s still pretty trendy.  I’ve had some new-to-me stamps here for a few weeks and hadn’t had the change to play with them yet, and they fit the hexagon theme, so this seemed like the perfect time to get them inky.  I added a few splatters of color using the theme from this week’s color challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com.

What fun shape will you use?  Be sure to check out what the rest of the design team has made.  Then share your creation with us at the CC&S site by 1:00 p.m. Eastern time Wednesday, July 2.

Supplies:
Stamps: All Squared Up (Avery Elle); Itty Bitty Backgrounds (Stampin’ Up)
Cardstock: Pure Luxury White (Gina K. Designs)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie (SU); Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Other: hexagon Nestabilities die (Spellbinders)

  1. Love this card – especially that you used a hexagon border on a hexagon shaped card. And Itty Bitty…really? Now I have to drag that out!! I always forget about my old SU stamps – but this is such a perfect confetti!
