Well hi there!  It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for a new challenge at CAS – Colours and Sketches.  This time we have some bright colors for you.

I recently noticed that one of our frequent CC&S participants, Leslie, has created a new challenge called The Crooked Stamper Sketch Challenge.  I wanted to support her in her initial challenge, so I’m combining her sketch with this week’s CC&S colors.  I took the liberty of turning the sketch on its side so the panel of birthday balloons would fit correctly.  I decided to go all out with the colors rather than have a lot of “white space” that is literally white or ivory.  In retrospect, I think the card would look better if I’d added strips of blue between the yellow panel and the card base.  But it’s ok the way it is.  It’ll be just fine for Operation Write Home.

What will you create with these colors?  Check out the CC&S blog for more inspiration from the rest of the design team.  Then link your own card there by 1:00 p.m. Eastern time Wednesday, February 25.  We’d love to have you join in the fun and creativity there!

Supplies:
Stamps: So Much to Say (Lawn Fawn)
Cardstock: Tangelo Twist, Pacific Point, Very Vanilla, Watercolor Wonder designer series paper (Stampin’ Up)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Other: markers (Copic)

  1. Love this bold and in your face use of the colours. Brilliant!

  2. Thank you for the shout-out and for playing in my first challenge! I have the new color challenge saved on my list of challenges to do, and I hope to get to it this weekend.
