Hello! It’s the third Thursday of the month, which means it’s color challenge introduction day at CAS Colours & Sketches.
It took me a while to decide what to do with these colors. I had several ideas in my mind, but when I played them all the way through in my head, I didn’t like the way I envisioned them turning out. Finally I thought about this tree stamp that I hadn’t used in quite a while. I thought it might make a nice card for transitioning from summer into fall. The lighter color leaves are from stamping the leaf stamp without inking it up again. It also took on a bit of the brown from the limbs when I did that, which resulted in some two-tone leaves… perfect for autumn! I first stamped the bird right onto the tree, but it didn’t seem to show up very well. So I stamped it again on a scrap of cardstock, fussy cut it, and glued it on top of the original image.
Go see what the rest of the CC&S Design Team has done with these colors! Then use them to make a card of your own, and share it with us at the CC&S challenge post. You have until 6:00 p.m. Eastern time Wednesday, August 26 to link your card. We hope you’ll join us! Thanks for stopping by today.
All supplies are from Stampin’ Up unless noted:
Stamps: Branch Out, Trendy Trees
Cardstock: Pure Luxury Ivory (Gina K. Designs); Marina Mist
Ink: Marina Mist, Always Artichoke, Cajun Craze

The tree looks so right in these colours and the little bluebird is a gorgeous touch. Fabulous!
