Hello there!  It’s time for this month’s theme challenge at 52 Christmas Card Throwdown.  This week we’re asking our challenge participants to create Christmas or wintry cards featuring landscape scenes.

I’ve used the timeless classic row of trees image from one of my oldest Stampin’ Up stamp sets.  I stamped the image with Versamark ink and heat embossed it onto shimmery white cardstock.  I made a mask to separate the ground from the sky, and I also punched a circle to use as a mask to make a moon in the sky.  I scribbled Gelatos in two shades of blue for the sky, and blended them with a wet paintbrush.  I used a Gelato color called Fig to add a little shading to the ground.  I matted the image onto some black cardstock and chose a purple that coordinated with the fig color for my card base.
