Hello!  It’s time for another color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches!  I think this week’s color combination is rather unique, so I’m looking forward to seeing what our challenge participants do with it.

It took me a while to figure out what to make.  Finally I settled on flowers.  One can never go wrong with flowers, right?  I stamped the stems in the lime green color.  Then I used a punch to create the blossoms and sponged a bit of the same color ink on them so they wouldn’t look so “flat”.  I used glue dots to adhere the blossoms to the background.  The glue dots give them a tiny bit of lift off the background so they have a little dimension.  Candy dots in the third color from the challenge combo worked perfectly for the centers of the flowers.  The “thanks” stamp is a freebie I received in an order from Lawn Fawn about five years ago.  I decided to offset the focal panel and have the mats go around just two edges of the card for a little extra visual interest as opposed to having the mats go around all four edges.
