Hello there! It’s time for the last challenge of the month at CAS Colours & Sketches. This week we have a sketch challenge for you to try.
I decided to go with a cute kitty cat theme for my card. I’ll confess that I took the easy way out of coloring the images by stamping them onto designer paper and fussy cutting them. I did use a dark brown marker to fill in the trim on the cat’s bed. I chose two shades of blue cardstock for the card base and background, and the card came together pretty easily. To avoid cutting around the cat’s whiskers, I stamped the cat onto the background and glued the fussy-cut image over it.

Great card, Patricia, with this whiskery critter coming to life with your two layer technique. How very clever of you! I like the patterned cushion, this kitty is king of the castle!

Adorable! Paper piecing isn’t necessarily an easy way out as you still have to fussy cut! Your card turned out wonderfully – love the shades of blue!
