Hello there!  It’s time for the last challenge of the month at CAS Colours & Sketches.  This week we have a sketch challenge for you to try.

I decided to go with a cute kitty cat theme for my card.  I’ll confess that I took the easy way out of coloring the images by stamping them onto designer paper and fussy cutting them.  I did use a dark brown marker to fill in the trim on the cat’s bed.  I chose two shades of blue cardstock for the card base and background, and the card came together pretty easily.  To avoid cutting around the cat’s whiskers, I stamped the cat onto the background and glued the fussy-cut image over it.

  1. Great card, Patricia, with this whiskery critter coming to life with your two layer technique. How very clever of you! I like the patterned cushion, this kitty is king of the castle!

  2. Love the two shades of blue on your card with the contrasting kitty, Patricia. Hugs, Cathy

  3. What a darling card, the cat and sentiment are great.

  4. LOVE this, what a pretty kitty and your chosen image and sentiment work perfect with the sketch. Hugs Bev x

  5. Adorable! Paper piecing isn’t necessarily an easy way out as you still have to fussy cut! Your card turned out wonderfully – love the shades of blue!
