Hello!  It’s time for a sketch challenge again over at CAS Colours & Sketches.  The focus of this week’s sketch is scallops.  You’re welcome to change the format of the card from portrait to landscape (as I’ve done), or turn the sketch on its side, so long as you retain the scalloped edge stretching across the card and remember to keep your card clean and simple in design.

I chose a holiday theme for my card, sticking with a traditional Christmas color scheme.  I cut the white panel to size and die cut the scallops before heat embossing the word “Christmas” on it in silver.  I really wanted to use white textured cardstock for it, but I didn’t want to risk having stray embossing powder get stuck in the texture and making a real mess.  I finished the sentiment by heat embossing the word “greetings” near the bottom of a green card base.  After I attached the white panel to the card base, I added some red self-adhesive pearls.
