Hello there!  It’s time for the last challenge of the month at CAS Colours & Sketches, and this time it’s a sketch challenge.

Our challenge host, Joanne, has said that any shape can be used in place of the hexagon on the sketch, and CC&S rules allow the sketch to be flipped or rotated.  So I’ve flipped the sketch mirror-image and used a different six-sided shape on my card.  Well, maybe six-“sided” isn’t exactly the right word…  more like six-pointed.  🙂  We haven’t had any new precipitation here in over a week, but it’s been so cold that the ground is still white from the last sleet-covered snowfall.  A snowflake seemed like an easy choice for my card, and the current challenge from Color Hues worked well for that theme.  I masked off the top area of the card and sprayed the bottom with some silver shimmer mist.  While that dried, I cut the snowflake from some shiny silver cardstock and looked through some of my stamps to choose a sentiment.  After I stamped the sentiment using silver ink and glued the snowflake into place, the card still seemed to be missing something, so I added a pearl to the center of the snowflake.

Here’s a closeup photo that does a little better job of showing off the difference between the top “plain” part of the card and the bottom shimmer-misted portion:

And here are the graphics for the two challenges:
