I’m back again with a card for another of the Operation Write Home Labor Day Virtual Card Making Party challenges.  The seventh challenge was a pretty easy one – create a card with a fall theme using images of leaves.

I had some leftover digital images of leaves from a card I’d made a few months ago.  I had already watercolored them, so all I had to do was fussy cut them and decide on a card layout.  This week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge looked interesting so I figured out how I could work my leaves into that.  I’ve flipped and rotated the sketch around from a vertical “portrait” layout to a horizontal “landscape” one.  Two of my leaves were used for embellishment in place of the fluffy bow.

So there’s another card for my Operation Write Home pile!  Thanks for stopping by today.

Edited on Sept. 10, 2013:  Thank you to Rita of the Freshly Made Sketches Design Team for choosing this card, and me, as a Perfect Princess winner!

Supplies:
Stamps: All Year Cheer I (Stampin’ Up)
Digital Images: Autumn Leaves (Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps)
Cardstock: Tangerine Tango, Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Naturals Ivory (SU); Solar White (Neenah) [for the leaves]
Ink: Cajun Craze (SU); printer ink
Other: Tangerine Tango and Cajun Craze ink refills, corner rounder punch, twill tape, dimensionals (SU)

Good morning!  This week’s CAS – Colours and Sketches challenge is a sketch challenge.  I’ve combined it with the Dynamic Duos deep oranges color challenge.  I’ve taken the liberty of adding in a mat to highlight the color challenge combo, as well as turning the sketch on its side.  The leaves are digital images that I’ve colored using a watercoloring technique.  I used Tangerine Tango on the maple leaves and Cajun Craze on the other leaves (they look more like redbud leaves to me than any other kind, but feel welcome to leave me a comment to correct me if I’m wrong).  However, once they dried, they all ended up looking pretty similar in color.  Oh well.  After all the fussy cutting was done, it still made a nice autumn-looking card for Operation Write Home.  The maple leaf on the left has a cardstock shim under it, and the maple leaf on the right is adhered with pop dots, to give a little bit of dimension to the card.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you’ll join us over at CAS – Colours and Sketches with your own take on this sketch!  You have until noon eastern time Wednesday, July 3 to link your card at the challenge website.

Other: Tangerine Tango and Cajun Craze ink refills, dimensionals (SU)

Hello!  It’s the fourth Saturday of the month, which means it’s time for an embellishment or a technique challenge at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown.  This week our hostess, Jacqueline, is challenging us to use sequins and/or pearls to embellish our Christmas cards.

I’ve chosen to use pearls on my card – mainly because I don’t own any sequins.  I decided to use them as the ornaments on the tree in this digital image.  The pastel colors of the pearls dictated my color choices for the card.  The layout is a fairly recent OWH Stars & Stamps sketch that I hadn’t yet used.  I originally planned to turn the sketch on its side to make this a portrait-oriented card, with the sentiment banner across the bottom, below the image panel.  However, as I opened one of my green markers to color the image, it splattered green ink on the cardstock, right above Cocoa Mouse’s head.  I tried using colorless blender to “erase” it, but I wasn’t completely successful at that.  I didn’t want to take the time to print another image and color it, especially since I’d already colored Cocoa and the garland.  So I ended up turning the card back to a landscape layout, and angled the sentiment banner to cover up the ink spot.  I guess that’s making the best of a bummer situation.  It’s hard to tell in the photo, but the yellow cardstock is textured, to give the card a little more visual interest in real life.

I hope you’ll check out the challenge details at the 52{C}CT site and play along with us this week!  Be sure to visit the rest of the design team members’ blogs for some more inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies:
Digital Image: Cocoa’s Christmas Tree (Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps)
Sentiment Stamp: More Merry Messages (Stampin’ Up)
Cardstock: Blushing Bride, Barely Banana textured, Certainly Celery (SU); Pure Luxury White (Gina K. Designs)
Ink: printer ink; Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Other: half pearls (KaiserCraft and Basic Grey); markers (Copic)

Over the years we’ve become friends with several of the other families from our high school who are involved in the marching, symphonic and concert bands.  Today’s card was made for one band girl extraordinaire who is graduating this year.  She is an excellent flautist, she’s a bunch of fun and joy to be around, and we’ll miss her when she is off to college next year.

I used Freshly Made Sketches #88 for the layout, but turned it on its side.  I made an attempt to have the graduate image resemble our friend.  I added length to the hair on the image, but I wasn’t brave enough to draw in eyeglasses.  The school’s colors are bright blue and white, but the marching band uniforms and sports teams’ uniforms also have a lot of black on them.  So I chose blue, black and white for my color scheme.  I had to do some tweaking with my photo editing software, but the embossing I did on the black strip shows on the photo now.  I had the pieces of the card all laid out before adhering them down to the card base, and it seemed like something was missing.  I called my older son over because he’s good friends with the graduate, and I asked for his thoughts.  We decided together that a little bit of red would help brighten everything – and it also ties in with the red cording accents on the marching band uniforms.  Here is the final result:

I’ve decided to go ahead and enter this in this week’s Inkspirational “Anything Goes” challenge, too.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you’ll join me in wishing all the best to Emilie and to all the other members of the class of 2013!

Hello! I’m helping Operation Write Home observe Memorial Day this weekend by participating in their blog hop. We’re remembering the brave men and women who have given their all for our country and its freedom by sharing cards made for the purpose of sending to our military members stationed overseas so that they may write home to their loved ones. OWH also sends “AnyHero Mail”, which are cards of thanks and encouragement to our heroes working far from home.

I’ve created two cards for this blog hop. First off is an AnyHero card, which turned out to be a lesson in perspective for me. I ran through a lot of problems while creating it. I wanted to use a stamp from one of my stamp sets for the main image, but it turned out to be defective, so I had to use the digital version of the image instead. (Thank goodness for alternatives!) That actually was a good thing because then I was able to resize the image a bit larger than the stamp version – and when having to color around those tiny stars, it helps to have it larger! Then the red and blue panels didn’t seem to measure up correctly to the card base, so I had to do a lot of fine trimming with them. It was all pretty frustrating – but then I thought to myself, I really don’t have much reason to complain because I’m working on this in the comfort of my own home, without worry of being under attack from enemy forces, while a lot of our heroes are risking their lives in the heat of the desert far from their families and homes. The things that were annoying me are nothing compared to what our heroes go through on a daily basis. Pretty sobering perspective. Anyway, here’s the card. I used OWH Stars & Stamps sketch #40 for it.  Later I’ll write a note in it to one of our heroes, to thank him/her for the service he/she is giving our country.

Next is a thank you card that one of our heroes can send home.  I have a checklist of all the OWH Stars & Stamps sketches, and I’ve been trying to make at least one card for every sketch.  I dug way back in the archives to sketch #5 for this card.  It’s a very unusual card for me because there is no stamping on it!  The flower and the sentiment oval are both rub ons that coordinate with one of my Basic Grey paper pads.  Before I send the card to my OWH shipper, I’ll be sure to add a white liner sheet inside of it, since the cardstock base is kind of dark.  This will help make whatever is written inside be more easily read.

So, that’s it for today!  To see the rest of the blog hop participants’ creations, click on the OWH banner at the top of this post.  Thanks for stopping by!  All comments are read and appreciated.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and be sure to take some time to remember our heroes who have died in service in order to make our country and world a better place.

Background Stamp: Background Basics (Stampin’ Up)
Cardstock: Brilliant Blue, Real Red (SU); Pure Luxury White (Gina K. Designs)
Ink: printer ink; Tuxedo Black (Memento); Brilliant Blue (SU)
Other: markers (Copic)

Supplies for the Thank You card:
Cardstock: Buckaroo Blue, Whisper White (Stampin’ Up); designer paper from Marjolaine 6″ x 6″ paper pad (Basic Grey)
Other: Marjolaine rub ons (Basic Grey)

Hello there! Welcome to the weekend! Mynnette, our challenge hostess at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown, has chosen holiday goodies as the theme for this week’s challenge. It sounds like a fun way to indulge in some sweet treats without gaining calories, doesn’t it? 🙂

I had a hard time deciding what to create for this challenge.  I really don’t have many stamps that would work for this theme, other than things like mugs of hot cocoa that I feel are more wintry than really Christmas-y.  So I browsed around online and found a site, www.coloringpagessheets.com, that has a lot of free outline images that could be printed really large to use for children’s coloring pages, or printed smaller for card making.  A cute image of a bear with a candy cane caught my eye and I decided I’d give that one a try for my card.  I sized it to fit into the large open area of this week’s Freshly Made Sketches layout and went from there.  I included a bit of designer paper that has a gingerbread man, a candy cane, and what appears to be peppermint candies.  A bow made from the seam binding seemed like it would be too large and overpowering for the design, so I layered some twine over the seam binding and fashioned a bow from that.  I felt that given the orientation of the bear and candy cane, a mirror image of the sketch would work better than the original version.  I really wanted to use a sentiment that read “Have a very beary Christmas”.  I stamped it on one of my Stamp-a-ma-jig imaging sheets and held it to the card, but it looked too crowded in the available space.  So I went with a shorter, one-line sentiment instead.

I hope you’ll check out the challenge details at the 52{C}CT site and play along with us this week!  Be sure to visit the rest of the design team members’ blogs for some more inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Sweet 'n Sassy Digi Challenge #100

Comments Off on Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge #100
Apr 122013

Hello!  It’s time for the 100th weekly challenge at Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge! This week’s challenge, unfortunately, comes with some bittersweet news.  Because the clear stamps and dies part of the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps business is booming, Korin (the owner) is needing to let some things in her life go – and sadly, this challenge blog is one of those things.  This week’s challenge will be the last Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge.  All the current Sweet ‘n Sassy digital images will continue to be sold in the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps online store, but there will be no more regularly scheduled new digi releases.

However, since 100 challenges is still a major milestone, we are going out with a celebratory bang!  One participant in this week’s challenge will receive 3 Sweet ‘n Sassy digital images of his/her choice.  Participants who use a SNSS digital image in their work may link their project twice, for an additional chance to win.  Please see the SNSDC site for all the details on how you can win this fun prize.

This week’s challenge is Pick Your Favorite!  Take a look through the previous Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenges and choose one of them to inspire your project.  When you write your challenge description, please share which challenge you used.  Remember to use a digital image as the main focal point of your creation!

I had a really hard time settling on one previous challenge, and I didn’t have time to make multiple cards.  So I’ve combined three of my favorite challenges into this one card.  Those of you who have been reading my blog for some time know how much I enjoy making cards for Operation Write Home – for our country’s military men and women who are stationed overseas to be able to write to their loved ones at home.  A lot of those heroes have children waiting at home for them.  So I felt compelled to use SNSDC93, a card for a child.  I just love all the cute Sweet ‘n Sassy critters, so that tied SNSDC99 into today’s card.  I also like stitching on my cards (even though I don’t do it very often) so that incorporated SNSDC77.  I was also aiming for SNSDC58, to make a clean and simple card, but I used one of the OWH Stars & Stamps bonus sketches for the layout and it turned out more accurately described as clean and layered.

Thank you to everyone who has supported the Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge blog through their participation in the challenges.  I know I’ll miss being part of the SNSDC design team.

Supplies:
Digital Image: Bunny Love (Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps)
Cardstock: Pure Luxury White (Gina K. Designs); designer papers from Sugar Rush 6″ x 6″ paper pad (Basic Grey)
Ink: printer ink
Other: markers (Copic); standard and big scalloped circle Nestabilities dies (Spellbinders); embroidery floss (DMC)

My crafting time this week is just in fits and spurts, so today’s card is another quick and easy one.  I had printed out this digital image a few months ago, and today I colored it to fit the Dynamic Duos color challenge.  I trimmed the image panel, added a mat and a card base, and called it done.  I did consider adding a bow at the top of the card, but decided against it to keep the card easy to mail for Operation Write Home.

Supplies:
Digital Image: Pure Innocence 22 (Heather Ellis)
Cardstock: Pure Luxury White (Gina K. Designs); Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler (Stampin’ Up)
Ink: printer ink
Other: markers (Copic); corner rounder punch (SU)

It’s Friday!  Welcome to another Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge.  This week we’re challenging our participants to create a project inspired by Spring.  You can make a card, layout, or 3-D item, so long as you use a digital image for your main focal point.  Although you aren’t required to use a Sweet ‘n Sassy digital image, we especially love it when our challenge players do use them.  Be sure to link your work at the Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge site by Thursday, April 4.

I have to admit I had a hard time feeling the Spring season this week.  Sunday and Monday we received about 5 inches of snow.  It’s all melted now, but the temperatures are still cooler than normal for this time of year here in the Shenandoah Valley.  Although my daffodils and tulips are sprouting, nothing has bloomed yet and I haven’t even seen any blossoms at all on my mini daffodils.

So, to make up for the lack of flowers outside, I created a card with some spring flowers.  I actually printed this border of flowers a few weeks ago, when I was working on challenge #96.  But I printed it too large to work on that card.  So I set this aside until now.  This time I’ve used it with a slight modification of OWH Stars & Stamps sketch #10 .  I was in one of my KISS moods so I decided to use a monochromatic color scheme.  (KISS = Keep It Simple, Stamper)  The sentiment comes from a set called Masculine Birthday Greetings, but I think this font works well on more feminine cards, too.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Be sure to check out the other design team members’ work for more inspiration.

Supplies:
Digital Images:  Tulip Block, Daffodil Block, Lily Block, Masculine Birthday Greetings (Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps)
Cardstock:  Pure Luxury White (Gina K. Designs); So Saffron, Tea Party designer paper (Stampin’ Up)
Ink:  printer ink
Other:  markers (Copic)

Hello! Happy Friday! Are you ready for another Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge?

This week’s challenge is Happy Birthday, Fellas. Make a birthday card for a guy of any age from 1 to 101! Just be sure you use at least one digital image for the focal point of your card. You’re not required to use a Sweet ‘n Sassy digital image, but we do love it when our participants use them.

I noticed I’d had this image for a while and hadn’t used it yet, so I figured this challenge was a perfect opportunity to change that. Tank the cat is in a party mood with his hat and his horn. The “Celebrate!” sentiment comes with the image. However, I’ve used my photo editing program to separate the two so I can print them individually. The designer papers are actually from a set of digital designs, too, but the company that created them is no longer in business. I’ve been trying to play catchup on some of the OWH Stars and Stamps sketches that I’ve missed. Today’s card uses sketch #150.

So, now it’s your turn to show us what you can create for a guy! Link your project at the Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge site by midnight eastern time Thursday, March 28. Remember that for every project you submit throughout the month of March, you will get one entry to be eligible for winning 3 digital images of your choice from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps store! Be sure to play along every week, and to go visit the rest of the design teams’ blogs for more inspiration. Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies:
Digital Image and sentiment: Celebrate (Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps)
Cardstock: Pure Luxury Ivory (Gina K. Designs); Naturals Ivory (Stampin’ Up); Vintage Birthday digital designer paper (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Ink: printer ink
Other: markers (Copic); petite oval Nestabilities die (Spellbinders)

I am excited and honored to announce that because my card was chosen as the weekly winner a couple weeks ago at ‘ABC’ Challenges, I was asked to be the guest designer for this week’s challenge!  Thank you, Patty and the rest of the ‘ABC’ Design Team, for this opportunity!

If you came here looking for my weekly Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge post, please click here: Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge #96, and new release!

The current ‘ABC’ Challenge is called “In the Air” and it’s all about things you can find in the sky – clouds, birds, airplanes, whatever you might see when you look up outdoors.  I tossed around several different ideas before choosing to showcase a hummingbird on my card.  The only hummingbirds we see here in the eastern United States are the ruby-throated ones, and I think they are fascinating.  It’s only been in the last couple of years that we’ve seen them here in our neighborhood, so last summer my family was finally able to use the feeder that my sister and her husband gave my husband and me for Christmas soon after we got married.  We enjoyed watching the little birds zooming around and fighting each other for feeding rights.  I’m looking forward to putting the feeder out again when it’s closer to summertime.

Anyway, back to the card.  I made it thinking I’d include it in my next shipment of cards to Operation Write Home.  I went back a few months and used OWH Stars and Stamps sketch #138 for the layout, but turned it on its side.  I decided to keep a simple ivory and black color scheme to show off the details in the image (and, I confess, I don’t know if my coloring skills would do justice to this gorgeous image).  I used Sandy Allnock’s ribbon brad trick to embellish the card.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you’ll come back again, and that you have a fun-filled weekend!

Supplies for this card:
Digital Images: Hummingbird with Scripture, Mother’s Day Sentiments (Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps)
Cardstock: Basic Black (Stampin’ Up); Pure Luxury Ivory (Gina K. Designs)
Ink: printer ink
Other: ribbon (Offray); crystal brad (Recollections); Victoria embossing folder (ProvoCraft)

Hello!  Happy Friday! Today is especially exciting because Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps is introducing several new digital images! There are four beautiful flowers and two sets of sentiments. The rest of the design team and I are showcasing different ones this week, so please check out everyone’s blogs so you can see all the loveliness! And just in case you need an additional reason to visit the design team’s blogs – one of us is a “mystery blogger”. One of the people who comments on her blog will be chosen at random to receive the entire new digital release! It’s so much of a mystery that even we team members don’t know yet who it is – so be sure to visit them all!

Since it’s Friday, we also have a new Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge. This week we’re asking you to create a Z-fold card using a digital image as your focal point. Although we especially enjoy seeing what our challenge participants make with Sweet ‘n Sassy digital images, you can use a digi from any stamp company. Some excellent instructions for making a Z-fold card can be found by clicking here: Beate Johns’ Z-fold tutorial

The design team received the new images a few days ago so we could have some lead time for making our cards for today’s post.  When I first saw them, I immediately thought of this week’s OWH Stars and Stamps sketch.  So I tweaked the measurements given in the Z-fold tutorial to make it work for a portrait-oriented A2 card, and I turned the sketch on its side to allow me to combine the two challenges.  Since there were four floral images and I had only 3 blocks on the sketch, I had to choose which flower not to use.  So I decided to use the three that made me think most of Spring.  The daffodil and tulip were easy picks, and then I figured I’d go with the lily because of Easter lilies – although I ended up coloring mine pink instead of leaving it white. I had to resize the images down somewhat so I could fit all three of them on that panel of the card. But that’s one of the fun things about digital images – being able to manipulate them to fit the needs of your card.

Here’s the best photo I could get showing off the Z-fold:

This one shows off the sketch better.  The card kept wanting to pop open for me, so please excuse my finger holding it shut:

Here’s the sketch:

So now it’s time for you to check out what the rest of the design team has done with the other new images, and then make your own Z-fold card to share with us! Link your artwork over at the Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge website before midnight eastern time Thursday, March 21. We’d love to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a fabulous weekend!

Supplies:
Digital Images: Lily Block, Daffodil Block, Tulip Block (Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps)
Cardstock: Pure Luxury White (Gina K. Designs); So Saffron, Tea Party designer paper (Stampin’ Up)
Ink: printer ink
Other: markers (Copic); Sweet Shop ribbon, ribbon slide, dimensionals (SU)

Happy Friday! It’s time for a new Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge! This week our challenge is to Go Green. Create a project using the color green, and/or repurpose or recycle something on your project. Be sure to use a digital image for your main focal point! You don’t have to use a Sweet ‘n Sassy digital image, but we do enjoy seeing our participants use them (and you get the chance for extra perks if you do – see the Digi Challenge site for more details!). Link your card at the Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge site by midnight eastern time Thursday, March 14.

I’ll admit it took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do for this challenge. I do like to recycle things when I can, but nothing was really striking my fancy for the challenge. Then yesterday afternoon I walked by my dresser and this ticket seemed to call out to me. I’ve had it sitting there for a while; it’s from our high school’s football team’s playoff game. But I figured I could work it into a card. And it was green. Since football season is still quite a way off, but baseball is getting into swing (sorry, pun actually not intended for once!), I decided to use the Baseball Rhubarb image and give Rhubarb a green uniform.  I used Microsoft Word to create the sentiment, and notched the ends of the strip to form the banner shape.

This is going in my box of cards for Operation Write Home, and I think it’s neutral enough that one of our military personnel could send it home to either a boy or a girl.  The colors tie in with this week’s Inkspirational challenge.  This week’s theme at ‘ABC’ Challenges is “Anything Goes” – so that means this card can be entered there, too.

I hope you’ll join in this week’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge!  Thanks for stopping by today.

Supplies:
Digital Image: Baseball Rhubarb (Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps)
Cardstock: Wild Wasabi (Stampin’ Up); Pure Luxury White (Gina K. Designs)
Ink: printer ink
Other: markers (Copic); Spots and Dots embossing folder (ProvoCraft); ticket from football game

Hello! Happy Friday! Can you believe it’s March already? Time sure does fly when you’re having fun, and I’ve been having fun with a lot of cardmaking challenges lately. Since it’s Friday, that means it’s time for a new Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge! Are you ready for it?

This week’s challenge is All Things Girly. Make a card suitable to give a girl of any age from 1 to 101! Just be sure you use at least one digital image for the focal point of your card. You’re not required to use a Sweet ‘n Sassy digital image, but we do love seeing our challenge participants use them.

Since Spring is trying to get here, I’ve chosen an image suitable for the season. Spring makes me think of pastel colors, so I picked some from the designer paper. The sentiment is from a Sweet ‘n Sassy clear stamp set called “Christmas Tags”, but it includes several sentiments that can be used year round, such as this “thank you”. I thought the script font went well with the feminine theme. The sketch used for the layout comes from this week’s ‘ABC’ Challenges.

So, now it’s your turn to show us what kind of girly creation you can make! Link your project at the Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge site by midnight eastern time Thursday, March 7. Remember that for every project you submit throughout March, you will get one entry to be eligible for winning 3 digital images of your choice from the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps store! If you use a Sweet ‘n Sassy digital image, you’ll get two entries! Be sure to play along every week, and to go visit the rest of the design teams’ blogs for more inspiration. Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies:
Digital Image: Butterfly & Flower (Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps)
Sentiment Stamp: Christmas Tags (SNSS)
Cardstock: Almost Amethyst (SU); Pure Luxury White (Gina K. Designs); designer papers from Kioshi 6″ x 6″ paper pad (Basic Grey)
Ink: printer ink; Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Other: standard circle Nestabilities die (Spellbinders); markers (Copic)

two more...

Comments Off on two more…
Feb 252013

Here are two more cards I was able to create today for two of the Virtual Card Making Party challenges that Operation Write Home presented over Presidents’ Day weekend.   Both of them tie into the disappearing act challenge that Leslie hosted, but each also was created with one of the other challenges in mind.

Misty’s challenge was to create a card for a child, using an image of an animal.  Goodness knows I have plenty of animal stamps and digital images that are suitable for children’s cards!  I figured a “thinking of you” card would be most suitable for any occasion, and this particular sentiment seemed to go well with this cute little turtle.  So here they are, put together, along with another piece cut from the same 12″ x 12″ paper I used for the cards I shared on Friday.

Jen hosted a challenge to use an image depicting coffee, chocolate, or some other form of caffeine.  So I dove back into my digital images and decided to use this one.  I used Microsoft Word to create the sentiment.

I paper pieced the animals on both of these cards. (OK, so the turtle wasn’t really “pieced”, it was simply stamped on the green paper and cut out.) I still have one more piece from that 12″ x 12″ paper to use.  I’m trying to figure out a way to use it with this week’s OWH Stars & Stamps sketch.  I don’t have any more time today to work on that idea, so that card won’t get blogged before the Virtual Card Making Party officially ends and the links close.  Oh well.  But I am NOT giving up on that paper!  🙂

Supplies for these cards:
Stamps for the turtle card: Cute Critters, Thoughtful Rhubarb (Sweet ‘n Sassy Designs)
Digital Image for the koala card: Kiwi’s Cuppa (SNSS)
Cardstock: Pure Luxury White (Gina K. Designs); “Ashbury Street” and various scraps from Phoebe collection (Basic Grey); scraps from Ambrosia 6″ x 6″ paper pad (BG)
Ink: printer ink; Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Other: dimensionals (Stampin’ Up)
