Here’s one last card using the colors from this past week’s challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches, combined with the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch! I had made several watercolored backgrounds like this last week when I was working on my card for 52 Christmas Card Throwdown, but I couldn’t get the embossing part of the challenge there to look right with them, so I set them aside. I came across them again this morning and decided to do something with them before the CC&S and CTS challenges ended.
I took my favorite of the three backgrounds and trimmed it down a little with a stitched edge die. Since the colors are rather Christmassy, I die cut a seasonal sentiment from copper cardstock and glued it to the watercolored panel. I added a copper mat and attached it to a cherry card base. Of all the cards I’ve made with this color combo, I like this one best.
If you’d like to join in the CC&S challenge, there are still a few hours left to make a card and link it at the challenge site! Thanks for stopping by today!
