It’s Monday – the start of another week! That means a new CAS challenge at Splitcoaststampers. This time we’re being asked to be inspired by the word “hot”. I had time to get creative today so I made a card, also working it into the current Lawnscaping challenge to create a one layer card.
So here it is… a one layer card with a hot pie. I like to imagine it’s an apple pie right out of the oven, but I suppose it could be cherry or blackberry. I used a Sizzlits circle die to create a reverse mask for my sponged circle. I got a little heavy handed on my sponging but oh well, I don’t think it looks *too* bad. At the very least, it’s another card for Operation Write Home.
Supplies:
Stamps: My Silly Valentine (Lawn Fawn)
Cardstock: Vintage Cream (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Real Red, Ruby Red, Riding Hood Red (Stampin’ Up); Onyx Black (VersaFine)
Other: corner rounder punch (EK Success); premier colored pencils (Prismacolor); odorless mineral spirits (Houston Arts); ribbon (Offray); sponge
