… for serving and defending our country is my wish today – Veterans’ Day – for all of the members of our armed forces, past and present.

The card I made this afternoon is for this month’s Cards for a Cause challenge at Splitcoaststampers.com.  The cards made for this cause will be donated to Operation: Quiet Comfort, an organization that supports wounded soldiers as they recover from their injuries.

I don’t own any really patriotic stamps, but I felt the starry designer paper and the stripes evoked a sense of Americana.  The layout for this card is one I’ve used many times before.  It’s the Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge #21.  I love it because it’s so versatile.  By changing the designer papers and the sentiment, it can used for any occasion.
