I have been in a crafting challenge mood lately. I’m not sure why, but I like it! It means I’ll have more to share over the next few weeks.
Today’s card is one I made to play along with the CAS-tastic weekly challenge. This week the challenge is to use kraft cardstock. I’ll admit, I usually have a difficult time with kraft. I actually had to be talked into buying a package of it, and I don’t use it very often. But today’s card is the exception to the proverbial rule. I really enjoyed this one. I was inspired by a card on the cover of the 2010-2011 Stampin’ Up Idea Book & Catalog. They used buttons on their card, and I decided to use Prima flowers instead over the stamped image. I chose the sentiment because my parents will be celebrating their anniversary next week. Now I don’t have to stress at the last minute about making a card for them, hooray! LOL
Supplies:
Stamps: Priceless, Hugs & Wishes (Stampin’ Up)
Cardstock: Kraft (SU)
Ink: Creamy Caramel (SU)
Other: flowers (Prima); half pearls (KaiserCraft)

Wow, I love this card! The way you’ve used the flourishes is really cool Patricia! I love the little pearls too. Such a beautiful card!
I LOVE that you used the flourishes behind the flowers! So subtle…but effective!!
Oh I love that subtle flourish behind your flowers-soooo pretty!
What a great and intricate design, while still being CAS. So pretty!
I love the combination of flowers and flourishes, and the pearls add just the perfect ammount of dimension. Lovely!
