Today’s card is another Hope You Can Cling To challenge card.  This time the challenge was to use a hanging element on the card.  I have to admit the challenge stumped me for a while.  Finally I decided to take a cue from one of Tami Mayberry’s cards and go the “K.I.S.S.” route – “Keep It Simple, Stamper.”   I didn’t want to go the one-layer card route that Tami chose, so I created a simple panel to put on top of a base that matched the ribbon I wanted to use.  I distressed the edges of the panel for a little extra visual interest and highlighted the word “laugh” in the sentiment by sponging some ink over it.  I received the charm in an embellishment swap at least 5 years ago and don’t know the source for it, but it was nice to finally be able to put it to use.  It has the word “laugh” engraved on it.

Supplies:
Stamp: sentiment stamp (Studio G)
Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Whisper White (Stampin’ Up)
Ink: Onyx Black (VersaFine); Daffodil Delight (SU)
Other: Buttercup grosgrain ribbon, Lemon twine (Really Reasonable Ribbon); charm (source unknown); distressing tool (Making Memories); sponge
