Hello there!  Once again it’s color week at CAS Colours & Sketches, and this week we have some of the newer Stampin’ Up colors to work with.  It’s a bright, rich trio that I think you’ll like!

I haven’t yet bought the new ink or cardstock, so I’ve made substitutions for the Merry Merlot and Mango Melody using some of the first In Colors that SU introduced.  I did have Poppy Parade ink and cardstock left over from when it was an In Color so I was good there.  The sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch! looked like a good one for incorporating the three colors, so I tossed a few ideas for how to use it around in my head before deciding on a butterfly stamp and a sentiment from the same set.  My folder of Shimmery White cardstock was still on my desk, so I stamped the butterfly on a scrap of it to add a little subtle something extra to the wings.  When I attached the butterfly to the card, I glued the body and antennae directly to the red panel, but I gently bent up the wings and used dimensional adhesive to stick them to the card.
