Hi there!  I hope all my American readers had a wonderful time celebrating Independence Day.  My family was glad to have a mostly relaxing day at home, considering last weekend’s chaos.  We had a fierce windstorm go through last Friday night and we were without electricity for 60 hours.  We were lucky enough to procure a generator so we could hook up our refrigerator and some fans, and our property didn’t receive any damage, so we feel pretty fortunate.

My creativeness took a mini vacation during all of that, but now I’m trying to get back on track again.  I realized last night as I was trying to fall asleep that I had forgotten to check out this week’s Dynamic Duos color challenge.  So this morning I got working on that.  This time the color combo is Crumb Cake and the participants’ choice of another color.  Well, my “Crumb Cake” cardstock is old enough that Stampin’ Up was still calling it Kraft when I purchased it. LOL I had some already-colored butterflies left over from the last Sweet ‘n Sassy digital new release week, so I decided to use them and paired Pacific Point with the kraft cardstock.  It might be hard to tell in the photo, but the butterflies were printed on shimmery white cardstock so they do have a bit of shimmer to them. I kept the layout clean and simple, but used an embossing folder to give the kraft layer some visual interest.

So, that’s what I have for you today.  Thanks for stopping by!
