Hello!  It’s stash challenge week at 52 {Christmas} Card Throwdown, where we invite our challenge participants to use particular items from their crafting stash to create a Christmas or wintry card.  This time Louise, our June hostess, has chosen charms as the feature stash item.

My old ornament charms fit this challenge perfectly.  I first used them for a Christmas card swap back in 2003!  Yes, really!  It seemed like perfect nature to pair them with the same pine bough stamp that I used for the swap.  The layout for this card is from the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

What kind of charms will you use?  We’d love to see!  Link your card at the 52{C}CT site by 1:00 p.m. Eastern time Friday, July 4.  Be sure to check out the rest of the design team members’ cards for more inspiration.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Supplies:
Stamps: Pine Bough wheel, More Merry Messages (Stampin’ Up)
Cardstock: Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler (SU); Pure Luxury Ivory (Gina K. Designs)
Ink: Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler (SU)
Other: ornament charms (Making Memories); embroidery floss (DMC); corner rounder (EK Success); square punch (Creative Memories)

  1. Simply gorgeous. I really like the way you’ve used thread to hang the ornaments to the branch. I do like the traditional colours too.

  2. Awesome Patricia! Love how you hung the ornaments from the branch. Sometimes it pays to keep stuff in our stash for a while (wow since 2003 – hehehe) :o) Hugs D

  3. très charmante idée Patricia, un effet réussi, biz

  4. Fabulous card! Those ornaments look so good on the branch! Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.

  5. I love this Patricia, the ornament charms are perfect dangling from the pine bough! A very festive card!
