Wow – can you believe it’s September already? A new month means a new hostess at CAS Colours & Sketches, and this time it’s Fiona. She’s given us some lovely rich colors to work with for this week’s challenge.
I reached for a couple of my older stamp sets for my card this week. The outline and fill stamps worked well to fit in the three colors. I stamped the “fill” part of the flower first, and then misted it with some water so that the colors would spread a bit and give sort of an aura around the flower. Once the cardstock was dry, I inked the outline using a different color for the blossom. I put pieces of cardstock in all three colors together for a colorblocked mat underneath my focal piece.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you’ll make a card with these challenge colors and share it with us at CC&S. You have until 6:00 p.m. Eastern time Monday, September 11 to link your card at the challenge site.
All supplies for this card are from Stampin’ Up:
Stamps: Petal Prints, Trendy Trees
Cardstock: Naturals Ivory, Always Artichoke, Tangerine Tango, Fresh Fig
Ink: Always Artichoke, Tangerine Tango, Fresh Fig

Beautiful and inspiring CAS card. I love the trio of coloured panels behind your pretty focal image, really eye catching. I’ll have to remember this 😉 Hugs Bev x
This is lovely, great use of the colors.
Great CAS card and I love that you used the three colours to make your mat for the stamped panel. x
Beautiful, Patricia! Love the bleed on the flower – gives it a soft feel.
I love the colouring on your flower and the softness you were able to achieve!
