I took some time today to put together a card combining Freshly Made Sketch #38 with the Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps June release party challenge of making a card using “cool” colors (blues, greens, etc.).  I had originally planned to do something using more different shades of blue and green and turquoise, but when I noticed I had a scrap of designer paper with blue and green that was the perfect size for one of the sketch elements, I decided to go a different route.  The pear stamp is a single pear; I stamped it, masked it and stamped it again to get my pair of pears.  I’m not sure if it was the cardstock or the marker colors I chose, but I had a harder than usual time blending the greens when I colored the pears.  Hmmm.  I may have to experiment with different cardstock and try to figure out what’s up with that. Anyway, it still makes a cute card to include in the box I’m putting together for the OWH Duty. Honor. Cards. card drive.
