June New Release Blog Hop post

Today I’m sharing another card that I made for this week’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge to Bling It On!  This time I’ve used the newly released Dahlia digital image from Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps.  I printed it five times so I could cut out each layer and stack them to give my flower some dimension.  I added a scrap piece of cardstock as a shim underneath each of the top four layers to give some extra definition to each layer without adding a lot of bulk to the card.  (Because I’ll be including this card in my shipment for Operation Write Home’s Duty. Honor. Cards. card drive, I wanted to keep the card as easily mailable as possible.)  The sentiment is another SNSS digital image; even though it’s from a set called “Masculine Birthday Greetings” I think this font can work equally well on a feminine card.  I’ve used Freshly Made Sketch #40 for the layout of this card, and this time I chose to use pearls for my bling.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you’ll join in this week’s Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge to Bling It On!  All the challenge details can be found on the Sweet ‘n Sassy Digi Challenge site.
