Hi there!  It’s Thursday again, which means it’s time for a new challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.  This week we have a sketch for you to follow.  I think it’s a pretty fun one that could be interpreted in several different ways.

I’ve stayed pretty true to the sketch the way it was drawn, except that I’ve stretched it out into a portrait-oriented rectangle.  I also opted to put my sentiment on the oval element of the sketch rather than just below it.  I used pennant stamps to create my banner, and hand-drew the string connecting them.  After I cut the oval panel for the sentiment, I cut a slightly larger oval from the focal panel to “frame” the sentiment, rather than cutting a mat for it.  The sentiment panel is adhered with dimensional adhesive so it pops up a bit from the rest of the card front.  Although there isn’t much chocolate brown here, the color scheme was taken from CC&S challenge #60.

So long as we can see the basic elements of the sketch in your card, it’s all good!  What kind of card will you create with it?  We’d love to see!  Share it with us via the linky tool on the challenge post by 6:00 p.m. Eastern time Wednesday, June 3.  Happy crafting!

All supplies for this card are from Stampin’ Up except as noted:
Stamps: Big Day, Banner Blast
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz, Naturals White
