It’s getting down to the wire for me to finish up Father’s Day cards for my husband, my dad, and my father-in-law!  Today I’m sharing the card I made for my family to send my father-in-law.

The layout for this card is a tweak of this week’s Sweet Stop Sketch turned on its side.  The background was created by watercoloring on white cardstock with several different ink colors.  The red squares were trimmed from the top of the main background panel.  I stamped the cattails image three times, omitting parts of it on the right side of the panel to allow room for the sentiment.  I also added in a grass image as “filler”.

Supplies:
Stamps: images from Serene Silhouettes (Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps); sentiment from Dream Big (Lizzie Anne Designs)
Cardstock: Soft Sky, Basic Black (Stampin’ Up); Solar White (Neenah)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento)
Other: corner rounder punch (EK Success); Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, and Riding Hood Red ink refills (SU)

  1. Beautiful card Patricia! Beautiful sunset (or sunrise) colors! The blue card base is just perfect too.

  2. So pretty! Love the sketch flipped too. Thanks for playing along with us at The Sweet Stop!
