I realized I’m starting to fall behind on my goal of sending 75 cards to Operation Write Home by the end of the month for their Duty. Honor. Cards. card drive. I figured I’d better step it up by creating some quick and fairly simple cards. Making multiple cards of each design, or near duplicate cards, is also going to allow me to make cards more quickly than trying to make each card unique.
So today I have two masculine cards using the same basic materials. The first card uses Freshly Made Sketch #39 for the layout. I haven’t made many “thinking of you” cards yet for this shipment, so that’s the sentiment I chose.
My second card roughly follows the same sketch. This time I squashed it into a horizontal rectangular layout instead of a vertical rectangle. I did the narrow strip differently – I attached it all the way to the top of the card, and gave the bottom of it a banner cut.
So now I have two more cards, and they really didn’t take long to make. Now I’d better go work on some more!
All supplies are from Stampin’ Up unless otherwise noted:
Stamps: All Aboard, Three Little Words
Cardstock: Naturals Ivory, Chocolate Chip, Recollections designer series paper
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Other: classic rectangle and classic rectangle scalloped Nestabilities dies (Spellbinders)
