Our friends’ son is graduating from high school next weekend, so today I’m sharing the card I made for our family to give him.  Knowing that the school’s colors are green, gold and white made it easy to pick my color scheme.  It was fun trying to color the image to look like our friends’ son will look in his cap and gown.  I’m not sure if you can tell in the photo, but I even gave the graduate image a gold Beta Club tassel hanging from his mortarboard and a pale blue and white National Honor Society stole with golden yellow trim.  The marker colors do match the cardstock colors better in real life than in the photo.  I used Freshly Made Sketch #37 for the layout.

Supplies:
Digital Image: The Boy and The Dog 007 (Heather Ellis)
Stamp: Messages (Hero Arts)
Cardstock: Glorious Green, Summer Sun textured (Stampin’ Up); Solar White (Neenah)
Ink: printer ink; Onyx Black (VersaFine)
Other: markers (Copic); standard circle and petite oval Nestabilities dies (Spellbinders); small scalloped border die (PaperTrey Ink)

  1. What a lovely grad card! So nice that you used the colours of his school – I’m sure that will be a big hit 🙂

  2. What a great card this is … the colours are great, as is your colouring of this sweet image!
