I hope all the dads out there had a very nice, relaxing, and happy Father’s Day yesterday.

My husband and I generally don’t do a lot for each other on Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.  He tends to think “I’m not your dad, and you’re not my mom.”  But I do like to give him a little something to let him know that I’m glad he’s the father of our children.

I was pressed for time this year so I came up with this card pretty quickly.  It was nice to use a couple Stampin’ Up stamp sets that hadn’t seen ink in a long time.  I’ve had this patterned paper for several years now and finally used some of it.  This wasn’t a difficult card to make, but cutting out the letters was a little time consuming.  Thank goodness for Cutterbee scissors.  They are terrific for stuff like this.  I even used them to cut out the center part of the “d”.

So, even though it isn’t one of my better cards, it fit the purpose.  I hope my husband realizes how much honestly do I appreciate him.
