My younger son decided to join a soccer rec league team for the first time this spring.  He had fun, he learned a lot about the game, and I’m proud to say that his coaches really praised his determination, efforts and emerging skills.  Unfortunately the team won only two games, but there were several very close losses too.  Their record didn’t reflect how hard the team worked together.

The season ended last weekend.  My son gave thank you cards to his coaches, and he helped me choose the images and papers for the cards.  The team wore navy jerseys with black shorts, so that determined the color scheme we chose.  I used Lizzie Anne Designs sketch challenge #128 for the layout.  The players chose the name “Tsunamis” for their team.  I printed the name using Microsoft Word rather than trying to stamp it.

Even though my son claims he doesn’t plan to play soccer again, I’m willing to wait and see if he changes his mind about that.
