My dad’s birthday was yesterday, so I sent a card to him from our family.  It took me a while to decide what to make for him.  Usually I do something kind of serious and formal and masculine looking, with a tree or some such.  This year I decided to go a little more lighthearted.  I used Lizzie Anne Designs sketch challenge 129.  This was a challenge for me because I’m not used to making one-layer cards.  For the confetti, I inked just a portion of the swirl stamp from the Party Animals set.  I added a little splash of color by paper piecing the gift for the focal point and by matting the two small panels.

Dad told me on the phone that he liked his card, so I suppose I can say “mission accomplished”.  🙂  I hope he enjoys many more happy years!
